I am a TBI survivor, and in the last years, I have achieved total independence and accomplished many of my dreams already. I am an author & poet. I host a radio program, “COUNTING THE DAYS WITH TYLER STANLEY” on Blog Talk Radio for survivors and their families. After I graduated from law school with a doctorate in law, I went to work in the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, attaining my dream job at the time. I say, “Dream where you want to be!” The predictions of medical professionals after my injury---of me putting bathroom fixtures into a plastic bag for a career----was nothing short of a death sentence. I went from reading level of zero to completing law school. I was supposedly lacking logic and reasoning or anything else required to be academically successful. Do you know that story? Is it yours? I proved them wrong. Again and again. Be determined, and after you give up---DON’T !

Do you need an advocate to guide you through the traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation services jungle? Are you a caregiver who is losing your last thread, and the job is a long way from being over? Or a survivor immobilized by the tasks needed to negotiate your own recovery? Do you need a friend to talk to or need to vent to someone who knows the system to assist you with the quagmire of paperwork to file Social Security benefits or Medi-Cal?

I have over nine years experience in non-medical rehabilitation services directly working with survivors and their families. I know firsthand the financial challenges families face in battling TBI.  My rates reflect my desire to work on your behalf, not against it.

Until then, visit my web home as much as you like. Enjoy the poetry and my photography, and you go on living too!

“The way that Tyler Stanley looks at her original self died in 1972 at the age of 17 she crashed her new sports car on a lonely stretch of State Route 46 in Kern County, close to the spot where actor James Dean dies in his Porsche 550.” December 7, 2008, - Marin Independent Journal, Richard Halstead.
